Part of the joy of St. Philip Parish is the sense of community. The more involved you are, the more fulfilled you will become. All of our ministries are always in need of help. Consider putting your time and talents to work for St. Philip Church. Liturgical Ministries

Altar Servers help set up and serve the Mass.. Sandy Mitchell

Greeter/Ushers enthusiastically welcome, assist and gather God's people for prayer...

Music Ministers, Children, Teens, Adults, serve as a  Cantor, Choir Member and/or Instrumentalist...

Scripture Readers proclaim, pronounce and pass on the Sacred Word of God...

Eucharist Servers share and distribute the Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ

Adult Funeral Servers help to set up and serve a Mass of Christian Burial...

Design and decorate the Church's interior & exterior for Liturgical Seasons as an Art and Environment member...

As an ASSISTANT SACRISTAN help coordinate Masses, overseeing the details of weekend and Holyday Masses.

Help prepare Altar Linens for Sacred Celebrations by sewing and/or washing, etc)...

Prepare and plan liturgy for the entire year as a member of the Liturgy Committee...

Organize Special Liturgies & Seasons for special times, e.g. Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.

"Children Are Special" Liturgies  Plan, organize and assist at Masses highlighting our children...

Compose Prayers of Intercession for weekend liturgies.


 

Education

Teach Religion to grades 1-5 as a CATECHIST on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from September to May.
Substitute Catechists “fill-in” for the Catechists as needed..
..

Teach in our Sunday SPYCE [Saint Philip Youth Catholic Education] program for middle school students.

Assist our 9th graders in preparing for their celebrating and living the Sacrament of Confirmation...

Assist in designing, developing and implementing the parish FAITH FORMATION PROGRAMS.

STUDY THE BIBLE on Thursday evenings.

Help All Saints Catholic School as an active member of the Home School Association.


 

Youth Ministry

Our high school Youth GROUP meets every Wednesday night in ther Youth Activity Center (TAC) to spend time together.  

Be a chaperone at a Friday YAC evening for MiDDLE SCHOOL students -  Wednesday evening... Kali DiMarco

Be part of our annual 30 HOUR FAMINE, where over 100 young people gather to put their faith into action and make a difference in the world.

Twice a year there is a MIDNIGHT RUN into New York City to feed, clothe and converse with our homeless sisters and brothers; each 'run' requires a tremendous amount of work.

 

 

Fund-Raisers

Be part of the Christmas Fair, our popular annual celebration/ .

Assist with the annual RAFFLE.

Offer time for the SUMMER TAG SALE.


 

Evangelization

Share your faith with those who wish to enter into Full Communion in the Roman Catholic Church or complete the  Sacraments of Initiation through the RCIA process...
 

Use your technical skills to provide Computer Support in programming, data input, graphics and report generation.

Help in the Parish Office by greeting parishioners, telephoning, filing, computer work, etc...

 

Outreach

Reach out to welcome new parish members by telephoning, meeting and organizing social gatherings...

Visit our sick, hospitalized and homebound parishioners as part of our SOCIAL CONCERNS Ministry...

Help our community Outreach with food drives, soup kitchen, blood pressure checks and various works of Christian charity...

Knit or crochet PRAYER SHAWLS, lap blankets, etc.

MoMs gather on Wednesdays for shared prayer.

MEN'S Group meets Saturday mornings for prayer and reflection.


 

Parish Life

The Parish Council serves as a consultative resource for the present and future growth, concerns and needs of our parish family.

Have a talent for numbers? The Finance/Property Committee reviews parish budget, revenue sources and ways of increasing funds...

Help maintain, repair, clean, spruce up and beautify our parish buildings and grounds... Steve Bagnell

Be a part of planning and organizing afternoons of family fun for parishioners to enjoy at our Parish Picnics.

Help plan the annual pre-Lenten family fun evening and celebration of Mardi Gras!

Join and/or help set up, cook and provide rides for social and spiritual gatherings of our Senior Citizens...

Serve "Coffee &" after various liturgical celebrations and during special "Breakfasts" (e.g. Santa!). Help bake, setup and/or cleanup, etc.

Help out with PARISH PICNIC in June,
