Electronic Contributions
Saint Philip Church offers the opportunity for direct
contribution, by credit/debit card or from a bank account. Many
parishioners and friends of the parish have
used and are using this service, both for continuous support of the parish
and/or for one-time donations. Online Giving, hosted by Our
Sunday Visitor, provides the service, and is the preferred provider within the Diocese of
Bridgeport. All contributors are encouraged to use this method of
contribution.
Previously, electronic transfer was provided to Saint Philip
Church by Vanco Services
LLC, but that relationship will terminate on February 29, 2012. Any contributor still using a
Vanco account, and wishing to continue electronic contributions, must switch to Online Giving
in February. To make the change, open an Online Giving account (see
below), set up your contribution schedule, and call Clyna Richardson in the
parish office (203-847-4549) to have your Vanco account cancelled as of the
appropriate date.
Opening Your Online Giving Account
To sign up for this service, please click on the link below. You will be
asked, on the secure site, to set up your account, with personal
information, username and password. You will receive an email asking you to
activate the account. After the account is activated, you can
log in, select method of payment and
specify your contributions. For weekly contributions, please select a Monday as the
starting date; for monthly contributions, the 15th or 30th of the month.
Note that your credit card or bank
information will not be stored in the parish office. Control of the account
is completely in the hands of the contributor.
In addition to the recurring weekly and monthly contributions, other
offerings, such as the diocesan collections, Easter and Christmas flowers,
etc. are available at appropriate times.
Envelopes. You may continue to receive envelopes or not, as you wish.
Using them symbolizes your sharing of your worldly goods at the Offertory; It also serves as an example to others, and
can help to avoid any feeling of unease at letting the basket go by. Simply
check the small “Electronic Contribution” box on the envelope. It is not
necessary to use the envelope to have your electronic contribution recorded
in the parish records; that is done from the Online Giving reports to the
parish.
Note: When selecting dates for contributions, please select a Monday
for weekly or one-time contributions or payments, and either the 15th or the
30th for monthly.
Special Contributions
If you wish to make an electronic contribution without opening
an account, click on the link below to go to the Online Giving page, choose
QuickGive, and follow the instructions. You will be able to enter the
purpose of the contribution in the "instructions".
No Convenient Internet Access?
If you do not find it convenient to
manage your own account online, you can authorize Saint Philip Church to set
up an account for you. Please call the office to arrange this.
